There is a guy back East (OH, I think) that I buy lots of parts from, his
Name is Myke Welch, I guess he has a VW Shop but he also sells OE VW Parts,
I know him from one of the VW Diesel Forums, he knows a lot about them and
I'm sure can get you the parts you need and answer your questions about your
specific Engine. His email address is mailto:myke_w at yahoo.com

Loren,

Is there a place to get 3 inch exhaust that I could order online. I have
very limited options for exhaust where I live (Sheridan WY). I would like a
mandrel bent exhaust for max flow. What what is the silencer and where would
I pick one up at.

Also there is some shaft play in the turbo. More then I would feel
comfortable with so that is why I at least want that done. Also where would
I get the correct head gasket, is is a different one then engines in the
USA, same for head bolts and oil pan (looks like it has hit a few too many
things).

And my last question of the day is I finally get the twisted off glow plug
out of the head (drilling and easy-out) and the threads are bad. They still
will hold some but I don't know how much I can trust it. Looks like it was
over tightened and that is why the plug twisted off. Can I rethread it with
a heleacoil if have a problem?

Travis G
