I've always had a problem with intermittent operation with a used Jetta diesel tach. I'm sure that wiring, grounds, pcb board foil connections are good. Anyone have any experience repairing a tach internally? Tach always works fine for 10 minutes after starting cold engine then becomes erratic. Using Roger Browns circuit to generate a tach signal but I'm sure that's not the problem! (joke). BTW I've been overseas in Philippines;  They use alot of B-20 biodiesel which in dollars per gallon is about $3.00 there. Its the cheapest fuel. Milton.
