Hello Roger
ok everyone ..a little help....purdy please.....

1984 "ME" series rabbit diesel engine 1.6L....solid lifter head.....

turns out I took a replacement wrong cylinder head to the mechanic..

the front of the head I took to the mechanic has an area that protrudes out beyond the block in front where the oil drains back down from the head...it drains down onto the front of the block..

because it does not match the block there ...( hydraulic head?)

geez I didn't remember it was that different head.....(came from my stock)
and he didn't notice the difference it until after it was installed....

So, this sounds sort of wacked as an idea, but if the valve cover could be removed

and the one oil drain be blocked from draining out the head somehow, the head wouldn't have to be removed again......?

unless it somehow affects the head gasket sealing, the cylinders or water jacket overtime???

is this head just a different style solid lifter head, or a hydraulic lifter head?

txs to everyone....for the help or passing word to someone that might be willing to help, please....
