[Vwdiesel] 1.08 on a 107AG 1981 ip?

Hmm.  

The parts 1982 truck had its 107AG pump set at 1.08 (flywheel mark) - it
was 1.37 on the camshaft.  

The 1981 truck has a 107AG pump set at 1.08 as well.  Both of these are
quite advanced since Bentley says .86  Any thoughts on what's going on? 

I'm thinking of setting the ip advanced when I get it back in, but 1.08
seems a little too much.  (both engines are smokers on startup.)

Maybe the flywheel notch is off?  Maybe not.
