[Vwdiesel] Motometer Speedometer

Thanks Brian, I have a 7A Transmission in the Jetta, supposed to have 3.94
R&P which requires the White Gear which is what I have.  Tires are stock
size and Aired correct.

I think there's a good chance this Speedo will be ok, I'll let you know when
I get time to install it.  Thanks for the response.  How is the Cruise
Control working out?  That's gonna be my next project.

	My friend Harvey Nelson who was a service writer for Pete Lovely VW
in Tacoma during the Rabbit and early Golf days says that VW wouldn't
warranty the speedo unless it was off 10 % or more. The reason is that there
are 3 possible drive gears that go on the end of the speedo cable. One is
green one is white and one is red. They have 17, 16, or 15 teeth. Each tooth
difference will change the speedo MPH by about 10%.

This MM Speedometer has exactly the same face (1540) and mounting as the
original VDO Gauge.  This will be my fourth Speedometer trying to get one
that is close to accurate and a brand new one may do it.  I hope!
