I use a pair of coil spring spacers on the front springs of my '82 pickup:
	http://www.jcwhitney.com/ and search for "coil spring spacer"
They work pretty well, I just slide them up into the unloaded spring coils as far as I can 
and they give an inch or so of lift and being slightly compliant they don't seem to bottom 
out hard either.

Another option to look at is some air shocks (Gabriel Hyjacker is one brand) and see if 
they have something to fit that vehicle.  You can add air to the shock to support added 
weight.
