[Vwdiesel] Diesel vs. hybrid battle heats up

Thanks Andrew. An annoying read, but interesting.
Just why is it, every time there is an article on hybrids it is 
interviewed from the hybrid point of view, and diesels which are clearly 
superior (not to mention better looking) are always referred to as 
dirty?  lazy lazy journalism...  tsk tsk.
Then scroll down the page, and Nissan wizard calls purely electric cars 
zero emissions vehicles, and they let him get away with it ...  So if I 
have an electric car that I charge with a do-it-yourself home steam 
turbine using burning tires to fire my boiler, it is still zero emissions?
