Less overall complexity with a diesel and torque = FUN, so at half/half, 
definitely a diesel!

  I really don't think there needs to be a battle.  If most of your driving 
is around a city commuting, you're probably better off with a hybrid.  If 
most of driving is long distance freeway stuff, you're better off with a 
diesel.   If it's half/half, you're probably still better off with a diesel.
