[Vwdiesel] Towing boat with 85 Jetta

  Tongue weight would be my biggest issue.  If it's well balanced 
then you can "get away with it" but for how long depends on 
what you experience for power and braking.  
  I towed a Dasher sedan with my TD Dasher all the way from 
Portland to home (central WA) with no power problems (TD) 
and surprisingly little gain in braking distance.  Enough so that 
I was really impressed how easily it towed.
