Erik:
I found my high pressure switch on the small line between the drier and the firewall. The wiring interrupts the power source before it gets to the compressor.

Yes, I saw that switch on the head and now I feel really silly. I
looked at it and figured that it was an aftermarket temp sender that
came from the donor car and didn't even consider it. I figured that
the thermo switch would be in the A/C circuit to act something like a
high pressure switch, which is more common in an A/C system. I was an
A/C mechanic for a while for large systems, so I know something about
how it's all supposed to work, but couldn't find a pressure switch on
this system. Is there one somewhere else? (Though I didn't stick with
it long enough to reach journeyman level, so I'm no expert at these
things!!)
On mine there's only the thermoswitch, no other temperature sender, I
believe. But I'm not looking at the car right now so I can't swear to
that. My car has two temperature sensors on the end of the head. The
color of the wires are both light green, so I'm sure that it's that
big thing on the head.
Guess that will teach me to overlook the BIG obvious thing right in
front of my face!
Thanks for the help, guys!
