Bill, with the radiator having a cap or not. With the rabbits you get that same option, problem is that one only fits one style and the books that car parts places have aren't always correct. If it works then good deal but it may not work either. if your whole radiator is hot then you must have an air flow issue then (blocked or bent fins). Otherwise if just one part is hot (the inlet outlet side) then you don't have a baffle like I did with 2 new radiators in a row. A good coolant cap helps with the boiling point raising it up as the more pressure the higher the boiling point. Coolant mixture also helps with boiling point. What is the temps that you are reading (not the marks on the stock gauge but the actual temps coming out of the head and several radiator spots. I could help you as much as I can since I have had to deal with this twice before fixing it (not including mine equipment I work with).
Gauges, I got my Autometer guages from Amazon.com. I didn't have a problem with them. I got the incorrect gauge and they gave me a shipping lable and gave me the correct one (they actually gave me the choice to keep it, return it, or exchange it). Also go with the smallest gauges (I think 2 1/16 inch). Big ones are hard to find space for. I got the cobalt blue Autometer Pyrometer, oil temp, boost, and oil pressure and will be getting the volt gauge. Hope this all helps
With the ATF being added to the fuel, thank you for helping me win the fight with my brother on why not to put it in.
