This time it is the speedometer cable, can't seem to reinstall it. The old one was bad. Got the instrument cluster reinstalled with new cable. Problem is I can't reinstall the cable at the transmission side. I thought it installed in the hole at about the 2 o'clock position from the oil filter, which is open. I had no trouble removing the cable, which I did about a week ago. However the round cylinder at the transmission side won't fit in the hole. The old cable wouldn't fit in either leading me to think it attaches some place else on the transmission, & I forgot where it was. However I can't find any other possible hole where the cable might go. The Bentley is not very clear in this regard. Help!
