  It's usually a chipped or broken reverse gear tooth.  Odds are it'd be 
bouncing around in the tranny.  Sounds like  it's in the diff.  Try backing 

up and see how it sounds.  Often you'll get a whine or click from the 
chipped or broken tooth.
