I got the news that yesterday Dad wrecked his Passat.  Luckily he was unhurt
other than a burn from the airbag which is very good.  (Also means I got it
put back together properly after replacing the ignition switch!)

It also means that I will have a donor to finally build a TDI bus like I've
been wanting to do for so long!

But me taking the engine out means that there will be a lot of parts I don't
need and I will be parting out the car in the near future.  (I'm planning on
going down to S. Carolina where he and it currently are next Friday to tow
it back to Kansas.)

It was hit in the front passenger corner.  I don't know for sure the full
extent of the damage, but I would guess that most things not attached to
that corner are available.  So anything good and not necessary for my
conversion plans is up for sale very soon.  Start working on your wish
lists!
