Thanks for the warning. Bought a similar CD for my Ford Focus & it was worthless. If you want to buy a Bentley manual, watch eBay & check out Amazon books. Was able to buy a good used Bentley for my Quantum at Amazon for about $20 as I recall. It appears Amazon has a deal with used book dealers where they can sell on Amazon for a fixed price.
Drove my Focus back to Detroit (Pontiac) Mich. for the Hudson Centennial. Instead of paying $100 a night at the Marriott Centerpoint, I spent one week at the Motel 6 in Auburn Hills for a weekly rate of $275, about 4 miles from the meet. The Parts Place in Auburn Hills was only 2 miles from the Motel 6 I stayed at, so stopped by & bought some VW diesel parts. They were very co-operative & their warehouse looks quite impressive although somewhat hard to find. Bought a GPS (Garman 260) at a Detroit area Costco & it was quite helpful finding my way around the Detroit area, including The Parts Place. Those things are fantastic, one of the best $150 I have ever spent, although I have get by without one for the previous 76 years of my life. Was useful in the Mpls. St. Paul area even though I know the Twin Cities, except for the suburbs which have changed since I moved to Calif. in 1969. Stopped at the VW dealer in Burnsville, Minn & bought a 1/18 scale VW Phaeton model for $11, closeout, last one, I think. (know of any 1/18" scale model Jettas & Golf's?)They had new TDI sedans available for immediate delivery but no TDI Sportwagens. Wish I could afford a new TDI. Now, maybe I can find time to get my Quantum TD running.
Drove my 2001 Focus ZX 3 5 speed & got as high as 37 MPG eastward across Nev., Utah, & Wyo. where I could get real gas & a tailwind. Dropped to 23 MPG town & 29 MPG highway when forced to buy gas with 10% ethanol in the Midwest (Neb.,Iowa, Illinois., Mich, Wisc, & Minn.)
