You are correct, DOT 4 can be used with DOT 3, however, you get teh lower 
boiling point of DOT 3. The OEM for that car is DOT 3, however, IIRC.

And, no, DOT 5 cannot be mixed with anything.

Tony-who also remembers dual-diagonal systems and the advantages. Wonder why 
they got phased out???
