In six months I will be 80 years old.  Not always qualified as 
mature......still working on that every day.

Of my 3 diesels, only the 85 Jetta TD is still with me, and it is up for 
sale because it developed a leaking head gasket this year and I don't want 
to put any more money in it. Anybody wanting it as a project is welcome to 
make an offer. It is a rolling chassis with good tires, 5 speed manual, and 
an engine that starts and runs, but eventually overheats from exhaust gases 
bubbling into the coolant.  AC has a leak in the heat exchanger that sits 
in front of the radiator. And there is considerable rust around the front 
wheel openings. If I were keeping the car, I would equip it with shock 
absorber replacements. I am the second owner, having acquired it about 1990.

Three people have assured me they want the car, but nobody has bought it 
and taken it away. Solid lifter turbo diesels like this are pretty rare. 
I'm surprised no one has taken this one.
