  Shouldn't be.  I was an appointed, charter member to the original 
Kirby list.  Not sure just when that was but it was windows 98 
era and I was living in this house, so it couldn't have been much 
over 15 years at the most.  I didn't even have an Apple II+ in 
'84.  Went to a IIe and then got a PC about the time we moved, 
which was '92.  How time flies!
  The Kirby list spun off of the rec.autos.makers.vw.watercooled 
newsgroup.  I wonder what ever became of Kirby?  Didn't hear 
from him for long after someone else took over the reigns of the 
list, then it went to Dan.
