[Vwdiesel] How old is everyone?

Idling through my mid-30's.  I got my first Diesel VW when I turned 17 
and needed a car.  Dad pointed me to the 1.5L Rabbit in the garage and 
said that if I could fix it, I could have it.  I worked on it for a 
while and it eventually ran, though it probably had to do more with 
Dad's help than my mechanical skills at the time.  I'm just a survival 
mechanic--lurching between crises with the help of the group.  I've been 
on this list (and it's predecessors) since I can't remember.  Probably 
about the start of the Kirby list in about 99 or so?  Rec.autos.vw 
before then.  Otherwise, I'd have amazing bicycle legs cause the 
information derived has been the only thing keeping me mobile.
