[Vwdiesel] How cold is it?

I don't give a damn about Gore either way, but I think it's pretty arrogant
for one to think that they know better than the people who spend their lives
studying this stuff(but I guess the same thing applies to VW Diesels!).

The idea that the zillion tons of shit we dump into the atmosphere(and
water, and land, and groundwater, etc) might have a negative effect
certainly seems plausible to me(it certainly isn't helping anything), and
most of the scientists seem to agree.  True that a few don't, but that's
usually true on any subject, isn't it?  And certainly some of those
naysayers are having their pockets lined by big oil money and the like -
see: decades of controversy about the obvious link between tobacco and
cancer.

The alternative, that there's some vast conspiracy to convince everyone that
anthropogenic climate change is real when it's really not, just to... what?
 Make Gore rich?  Ruin the economy?  Sounds like black helicopter stuff to
me.  More likely that people just don't want to believe it, because of the
serious implications regarding changes in our lifestyles and livelyhoods.

I suppose we'll still be having this argument decades from now.  Some people
on either side will never be convinced.
