As to obtaining rubber gasket material I suggested contacting Metro Molded Products of Minneapolis & Steele Rubber products. Another good source would be to contact a local auto glass replacement business.
If your rubber is old but not cracked you might be able to revitalize it by rubbing silicone spray into it. I also recall reading somewhere that rubbing glycerin into the rubber helps. You might also try your local NAPA auto parts house. If the windshield or rear window leaks, there are also sealants you can get from your local auto parts house that might work.
For those of you in the old car hobby I would suggest subscribing to Hemmings Motor News, Old Cars Weekly, & Skinned Knuckles Magazine. This is where you can find a lot of info & adds for old car restoration parts, antique auto insurance, & tips on restoring.
