[Vwdiesel] SCORE! new (used) 2001 TDi Golf (w/ a few issues)

Nice score!

The glow plug problem is cleaning, like James and Loren have  
described.  My CEL goes off every 6 months or year, and I just clean  
it and reset the light.  You can have the codes pulled at most local  
auto parts stores these days for free.

The light in the climate controls is easy to change.  There's a  
writeup on VWVortex about it.  buy a bulb at the dealer (usually a  
buck or so), pull the fan switch straight out (use pliers and a towel  
to avoid scratches) and change out the bulb.  There are several ways  
to get it out, and they are described on the VWVortex forums.
