[Vwdiesel] Tach

I thought just a couple weeks ago this topic was talked about. I have the gas tach modified for both my diesels with the "W" terminal. You have to string a wire from the alternator to the tach and you have to modify the tach as well. You have to be good with a soldering iron and be able to get the correct resistors and capsitors. Also the alternator must be working correctly or any other electrical devices may throw it off. This is the web sit I used.

Remember that you must be good at soildering or it won't work the best. and it is very tight to work in. My brother just used an auto meter gauge that had a thing that rapped around the alternator that he could then adjust to get the correct rpm. The only way the alternator won't be acurate once calibrated is if the belt is slipping.
