It's funny, Jeremy Clarkson makes total fun of americans (fat/lazy/etc.), but I still love the show. The chemistry between the three presenters is fantastic.
The Golf W12 concept was neat, but not very practical. Also, it couldn't corner at all. I guess all that power with a sorta square wheelbase made for some scary driving. The Stig didn't manage a very good time in it because of the lack of cornering ability.
To keep it on the diesel topic, Top Gear have featured VW Diesels several times. They drove the M4 in a gas powered Lupo and a Lupo TDI to see how much money could be saved with the diesel. They saved £3.99 over the course of ~120 miles. Not bad. I think the gas one got 41mpg while the diesel got just over 70mpg (imperial).
They recently drove from Switzerland to Blackpool on one tank. Hammond took a VW Polo Bluemotion TDI. It was a 750 mile drive, and they all made it. Good stuff.

>>>To my knowledge, TopGear is a British car magazine published by the BBC.
>>>They also have an automotive comedy show that appears on Monday nights on
>>>BBC America. You can watch it on Dish satellite channel 135. Don't know
>>>about various cable channels or Direct TV satellite. If you are a gear
>>>head you will most likely enjoy these shows, especially if you enjoy

>>>FYI for converting, one USA gallons= 3.785 liters.
>>>This article makes me wonder how easy it would be to transplant a 3

>>>transmission go for? Or would a Focus diesel engine bolt up to a Focus gas
>>>engine transmission? As you in the UK probably know, we can't get the
>>>diesel Focus here but I believe it is legal in most states to convert gas
>>>car to a diesel.
