[Vwdiesel] Low oil pressure question

Sounds like the intermediate shaft bearings are done Dave.
Seems like the weak spot on the entire motor is turnign out to be the
intermediate shaft bearings. The Mains and rods are way big for the
load they handle, but it seems the intermed shaft bearings are going to
be the one to kick the bucket first, leak excessive oil volume, and be
the reason for the high volume loss, and low head pressure. You can try
to use heavy viscosity oil... it's worth a shot. The intermed shaft
bearings are replacable and would be the thing to do if everything else
is good... but freshening the motor is in order if you have it out
anyway... shells don't break the bank.
