Disconnect the battery and see if it discharges over a couple days (internal
battery problem)
Caution: may cause the radio to stop working because of the aniti-theft
'feature'
a second thought; I noticed this morning (in the dark before sunrise) that
with the keys in the ignition, the back door slightly ajar, the dome light
would NOT go off (timeout), that would definately drain your battery over
two or three days. The fact that it drains the battery to 5.xx volts almost
for sure means its a resistive load like a light (dome, trunk, engine
compartment, courtesy mirror)
if it were an electronic load that required the normal 12 volts it would
probably cease to (drain) work around 9 volts.
imho
