One way to prime the injection pump:

Take a brake bleeder vacuum (little hand pump that you can create suction
with) and take off the fuel return line from the filter.

Attatch pump and pump away! Will pull fuel from the fuel line and fill the
pump, once you start seeing fuel arrive at the bleeder pump, pinch the line
and re-attatch the return line.

Worked AWESOME for me, better than doing it the old fashioned way: by mouth
