Right! they are full of s**t

The vane type pump vents directly throught its stem in to the crankcase. 

Only one hose required, to the brake booster.

The T fitting idea is a crock. not required or desired.

If you had crashed due to brake failure, you might have sued them.

The fitting at the crank case that the other hose went to (from the
diaphragm pump) should now be plugged some how to prevent oil loss, and
preserve the crankcase ventilation system
