Most won't have it. It's been a long time since they used the red
dye, most is UV now and a really translucent neon green to the naked
eye. It doesn't show up well without a light and not much better
with one than simply looking for oil trace. The only reason it'd have
dye is if someone had put some in there previously.
"If you see oil or dirt sticking to it, you have a leak". That was
one refrigeration guy I knew's thoughts on dye.
