VW made a GTD version of the Golf, It had a top mounted intercooler
with special scooping on the hood to bring in cool air. All the TDIs
have intercoolers. In fact, I don't think anyone making a diesel
today doesn't use intercooling. Denser intake charge simply means
more power. Hayden
