  I've fairly recently found that if you have a good pump on the shelf, 
it'll leak soon after running todays fuel through it.  Combinatoin of 
the ULSD and old seals sitting.  Running ones will succumb as well 
but the "shelf" models seem to go quickly, like a day or two.  YYMV
