[Vwdiesel] Smoky, Bubbly Engine?

Hi Will,
I'd just start it up a few times over a period of a week , and then see if
compression on #4 improves.
IMO blowby is a function inversely related to speed, because it takes time
to allow gases to escape. Additionally, vent from cam cover develops a
slight vaccuum due to preference of its feeding engine to that through paper
air filter. Are bubbles immediate? If slight then perhaps after a warm up
undo and nip back up each head bolt to about 90 lbft
Nothing to loose and everything to gain...
Mark
