[Vwdiesel] payload capacity

I've always thought my pickup speedometer is slow. I can keep up with
traffic when it reads 60. That being said, I've never hit 70 on the
flats (1.6NA with compression in the 300s, but she still starts! - FF
5-speed trans)

Now the '82 Westy speedo must be fast, 'cuz I've only passed one person
last summer - with kids cheering in the back! (1.6NA DZ trans, and I
try to keep it to 55-60)

Hmmm... with 5 "running" 1.6 diesel VWs, I'm feeling a bit overextended
with the non-critical systems. Maybe it's time to give up on some of
them and turn them into donors...

1981 1.6NA Pickup
1982 1.6NA Westy
1990 1.6NA Jetta (runs but needs serious engine work)
1991 1.6Eco Jetta
1994 1.6TD FrankenJetta (gas to diesel conversion)
