I replaced the one on my aaz engine and didn't have any issues. I take a small flat head screw driver on the outer surface (not on the sealing surface of the cam but on the head part of it). I tap that in with a hammer and then work it out. Then I use the old seal if possible as a buffer to hammer very lightly the new seal in. Put some white engine grease on the new seal and make sure there isn't any metal burrs on the cam that could cut the seal. You shouldn't have to loosen anything on the cam other then the sprocket. I forget if the cover is in the way as I modified the one from a 1.6 na to work on the aaz engine. The only thing you might have to do and I doubt you will is take the injection pump sprocket off. But you still wouldn't have to retime the injection. Depending on the miles on the engine you might want to replace the timing belt and possibly the intermediate shaft seal (it comes off the engine).
