[Vwdiesel] 91 jetta clutch cable

Well I installed the new clutch cable and what a difference it made.  I was
so use to the clutch grabbing right off the floor and now it grabs way
higher.  Also the shifting is so much smoother.

 

I also tackled the HVAC flapper doors some today.  I'm going to see how well
the advise I got from the VW forum holds up. I got the foamy sheets from
Wal-Mart and cut them to fit on the doors. I couldn't get all the way around
both sides of the two main doors but feel I got a good part of it. I just
hope it holds up. It will be nice to have heat again this coming winter.  

 

While I was in the dash I also replaced my blower motor.  I hooked it up
before I installed it to make sure it works. I noticed that it only works on
setting 2 through 4. When on 1 it does not turn.  Is this just a simple
resistor replacement?  I saw it behind the glove box so it is not to hard to
get to.

 

My one center vent is missing the adjustable lovers, so now I need to
scrounge one up as well as two rocker covers. Both of mine are missing the
flaps that you move up when you jack the car up.  Off to the local salvage
yards I go.
