[Vwdiesel] seeking thoughts on acel cable parts and fuel system in a swap

Hi all, As part of a diesel/cabby swap i need to change out the acel cable. most supply houses will sell me the cable but i also need the retaining clip. any sources, is this a dealer part.

 

Also, I have not yet though am considering retaining the in tank pump to assist the IP. any thoughts on the fuel system

in general. If i use the older style fuel water separator, it can

attach to the gasser fuel line on the driver strut side and with the battery moved to the trunk the battery space (next to the separator) is available for a 2 gal wvo tank.
