  Some of the rings used to come with instructions.  With a 3 piece 
oil ring I think it was one rail gap over one end of the pin, the other 
180 and I think the expander went to 90.  Trying to think if the 
next two were set at "thirds" opposite the expander or if they 
alternate 180 from it.  With a one piece oil ring I believe they 
called for 1/3 spacing around the piston.
