That's a big buck for a 2.slow!

For that kind of money, you should be getting a low mileage diesel or 1.8T, not the slug.  Also, when you say "factory rebuilt" engine, begs the question of who's factory?  It is only a plus if there is a substantial written and transferable warranty attached.

What market are you in?  If it really is a cream puff, and it is the car you want, there aren't too many issues with that car.  It might catch the tail end of Jetta electrical glitches, and you can be sure the front struts have been replaced and the window regulators either have failed or are about to do so.  Other than that, not too much to watch.
