[Vwdiesel] The Eurovan is dead

Reminds me of another story from when I was young and stupid (or in this
case, my stupid friend was the culprit)...

Friend had just bought a 'new' (to him) car, and trying to be a good,
proactive car owner, the first thing he did was check the oil. It was low,
so he added a quart and drove on. Later that day, checked again... still
low, so he added *another* quart.

Well I guess the dipstick was too short (or the friend was a dipstick,
possibly both) because he ended up putting FOUR quarts in that day (and I
don't remember what kind of car it was but I'm pretty sure it was a 4-banger
that probably only held 4-5).

Not long after he and I parted company, the car started smoking from under
the hood and of course burst into flames when he opened it, and there they
were, standing on the side of the road throwing dirt on it!

I don't think the car burned totally but it was certainly a total loss.

The best part of the story - the next day the dealer/lot called and said
that his financing hadn't gone through... they wanted the car back!! :)
