[Vwdiesel] VW's in Portugal

Agreed, we know they are faulted in many trying ways but we all must get some
satisfaction out of fixing them ourselves or with the help of others with like
minds on this super OLD VW list.  I do anyway.

Not many VW campers can take you from Lake Ontario to central NJ coast on 1 tank
of fuel.  If it brakes along the way, you have your tools and extra injector
lines with you and you try to fix it and keep on going home to fix it right
later that week.

Ark, your point is why many VW mechanics drive a Toyota home after fixing VW's
all day !!!! Funny but TRUE.

Toyota is light years ahead of VW was my thought at that moment.
I will be looking for Toyota ornaments to fit my 1991 Jetta and 1987
Westy.

Perhaps we should all save time and effort and simply sell our
no good VW's to the wrecking yards and replace them with Toyotas?

More of a comment for a Toyota or Honda fourm I'd think. Not really
a VW hater's group here. We already know of the problems and
issues with them yet STILL prefer them over a Toyota for some
strange reason...
