[Vwdiesel] CV Shaft making noise and vibrating?

Recently had a collision with a large chunk of metal, took out my front
driver side tire. Now I am noticing a heavy vibration that comes and goes on
the drivers side. I took the tire off and put the car in gear, and noticed
the shaft would shake on the driver side axle. Should I just replace the cv
axle or should I replace the wheel bearing too?
