That does look like a 1.9L transplant to me. At least the lifting boss
for the head, valve cover, and the PCV valve all look like something
from a newer, bigger engine than a 1.6L.

Hard to tell for sure, but you could request better engine pictures.
At any rate I don't think that's a stock 1.6L engine.
