[Vwdiesel] Timing belt and tensioner change

It is possible that your engine has a gas flywheel and it will have lighter marks on the side or the tranny. My brothers truck was a gaser and was swapped to a diesel before he bought it and it had the gas flywheel. It had some advance/retard markings on the flywheel. We changed it with a diesel flywheel when we did the clutch and timing belt at the same time. You might have to look really hard to find the marks and you will have to unscrew the inspection plug.
