[Vwdiesel] More Quantum Questions?

Hi Bill;
If those compression readings are accurate my old VW diesel mechanic
friend says you are not liable to start it without towing. He says about 380
is the least compression that a cylinder wants to start. My Rabbit Bentley
says the wear limit is 398. If those are true readings you probably should
consider a rebuild.

What should I torque the injectors to? While I had the injectors out, I
decided to run a compression check so here are the readings from the cheap
diesel compression tester I bought on eBay. #1, 380; #2, 300, #3, 360, #4,
320. The Bentley said the maximum variance from high to low is 79 psi so I
guess I am on the borderline.
