Matt, you said your head is cracked. Where are the cracks? If they are between the valve seats & are a fingernails width or less, the heads are still good. From what I have heard, practically every used head has these cracks. I have learned this from others in this fine discussion group. In answer to your second question, check The Parts Place for VWs in Auburn Hills, Mich. Some others may have other suggestions or heads for sale.
