My 84 Rabbit locked up the driver rear wheel, and I broke it loose by
squirting A LITTLE BIT of penetrating oil into the drum, around the outer
edge, and then banging on it many times, sharply, with a 5 pound hammer. Be
judicious and don't break the cast iron. This worked after a lay-up of
several years, sitting outside in the weather.
