[Vwdiesel] A2 Jetta body dimensions

I've been trying to get my '85 Jetta back on the road for way too long
now. I whacked a curb on a rainy day and blew the alignment. The whole
front end was worn out so I replaced all the bushings, the shock
absorbers and mounts, both whole tie rods, and the leaking rack. The
problem is that the camber is still pretty out on the right front
wheel. I put in an adjustable bolt, but it's still a degree or two
out. I swapped the shock/struts side to side and that didn't change
anything. I pulled the control arm out and it looked pretty straight
against my framing square. I'd think that if anything had bent, it
would be one of those two parts. I'm still thinking about swapping the
control arms, but that's a decent investment in time. I thought I'd
solicit opinions. I did take it to a body shop where the guy said, "I
don't see anything that looks bent." He was not, however, a VW Diesel
driver so wasn't smarter or particularly better looking. Not that the
strut towers look bent either, but I thought I'd see if anyone has the
measurements for body dimensions. I thought I'd remembered seeing those
in the Bentley, but can't find them now that I actually need them.
Ideally, I'd have the measurements across the strut towers and whatever
else would be relevant.
There's a VW shop real close that I could take it to, but their hourly
rate is painful and I have terrible luck paying people to work on my
stuff. All I get is poorer and I end up fixing the car myself. Gotta
do something, though. I need to drive it for a while while I work on my
TDI.
Open to any suggestions,
-Shalyn
