[Vwdiesel] Must face the music on a coolant leak I guess

For some time now, over a year, my coolant continues to disappear at a fairly 
slow rate.  I have to add about a pint every 4-6 weeks.
I have not been able to find any puddles under the car, no smell of coolant 
lose.  I felt it had to have been my rad as it is orig. and there is signs of 
some seeping.  But again, minor drips that seem to be trans fluid anyway, not 
anti-freeze, no smell.  I guess I should be tracking this.


So, could the coolant be getting burned up in a cylinder head gasket leak?
No bubbles in coolant exp. tank.
No signs of oil in coolant ever.
Temp are fairly steady, the range between the first 

If it is this, I can just keep running it like this until it eventually gets 
worse?
