Nope, that is a good idea, look for a bulging rubber brake line with someone on
the brake peddle!!
just because I see new rubber brake lines on the front wheels does not mean the
2 short ones in the back were done as well some 3 years ago. much of the
replacement beetle stuff is JUNK.

Which reminds me of one time when I found a failed rubber brake line that
had a big 'blister' on the side from an internal failure.
Have you check the rubber brake lines when somebody's foot is on the pedal?
