Well I guess I will have to pull the engine again and check the clutch. It
seems to drive fine, and since it adjusted the clutch cable it grabs better,
but I did drive 1,200 miles just yesterday with it in that condition

Usually misadjustment will make it either grind when shifting
or not go into first with the engine running (too loose) or it
will slip when you step on the throttle in higher gears like 4th
or 5th (too tight). Chattering is usually something loose, generally
in the linkage, letting it "bounce" oil on the disk surface, hot spots
on the flywheel or a broken spring, finger or such.
